FORGERIES: Two Hagners with a jumbled worldwide range including Latvia airs, Heligoland, Suez Canal, Romania, Persian, Argentina, W. Australia, Nova Scotia 1s, Samoa, German states, Brazil etc, intr. (approx 130).
Perkins & Bacon Colour Trials neatly arranged on album page for 1930 issues in others colours including Cochin Fiscal 2a, 4a & 3r, Greece (4), Colombia and El Salvador fiscal. Nice group (10).
Philippines: 1943 FREE PHILIPPINES GUERRILLA POSTAL SERVICE; 2centavos blue private label authorised by General MacArthur for use in Mindanao during the Pacific War, approx 12,500 produced and printed in Australia, then smuggled to the Philippines via USS Narwhal submarine, this label is affixed to an unused envelope (vertical fold) and served more as a morale booster than practical postal use. After stocks were destroyed maybe only 500 exist.
Ukraine: 1949 souvenir block of two imperf without gum issued as 10s & 40s in black or blue for Ukraine Underground Post (PPU) commemoration 1949 75th Anniv. of UPU, reads Ukraine Fights for the Freedom of the World.
