1854 (8 Nov) Cover bearing two 1d red-brown cancelled (not tied) by two 523 numeral cancels of Merthyr Tydvil in black with red dated arc on reverse, few minor marks Cat £120 on cover. SG 17.
1854 Commercial covers each bearing 1d red-brown star mainly from 1854 printings mainly blued and even a pair on E.L, wide range of postmarks and dated town arcs on reverse, very mixed but good quantity and cat value in excess of £4800 on cover. (c80),

1855 1d red-brown pl.9 (Wmk LC Perf 14). Very fine used example lettered LK neatly tied to uncreased wrapper by a Manchester '498' type II sideways duplex for 18th October. Addressed to Lancaster with arrival backstamp. SG Spec. C3 (1).
1857 2d blue Pl.6 tied to superb wrapper from London to Perth, Scotland bearing 2d blue (OE) showing re-entry, tied by lightly struck London City duplex for 4th August 1858. Backstamped by a Perth arrival cds. Exhibition quality. (SG 35).

1857 Wmk Emblems 6d lilac in an attractive fine used pair with right wing margin, neat 11 London numerals. SG 68.
1858 (4 Jan) STAMFORD sideways 742 C duplex being a very late date, last issued on 25th Janaury 1858 addr to Nottingham. Fine.
1859 (1 Dec) Small cover Chester to Liverpool bearing 1d rose-red p.14 tied nice strike of CHESTER 180 spoon cancel, fine appearance.
