Madagascar: 1904 Provisionals 10c bisected on Diego Surez postcard of villagers tied Affranchissement / exceptionnel / (faute de Timbres.) handstamp in blue with additional DIEGO SUAREZ 5 March cds applied twice addressed locally E.V (En Ville, local). Fine.
New Caledonia: 1877 (Mar 22) Stamp shortages cover roughly opened at the top with triangular cancel 'P.D. / AFFRANCHI / EN NUMERAIRE / FAUTE DE / TIMBRES COLONIAUX / SCE POSTES NELLE CALEDIE' on the front plus normal pmks and recieiving marks. Apparent late usage of the triangular marking showing mail travelling the Pacific Route with previous only known use was 25th March to 15th July 1875. Very scarce cover that needs further research.
New Caledonia: 1892 40c red on straw Type 2 overprint imperf with four very good to very large margins cds used. Only 100 of the type 2 overprint stated to exist. Choice stamp. Yvert 19a Cat 3700 Euros.
New Caledonia: Mint and unmounted mint range on stockpage includes postage and airs sets and ranges, attractive clean lot. Good cat value. (15 + 3 M/S).
P.O. in Turkey: 1911 regd cover to Paris bearing single franking 2pi on 50c tied CONSTANTINOPLE STAMBOUL cds. Couple minor faults.
Peace & Commerce Forgeries mainly mint or unused for many different countries from 1c to 1fr incl New Caledonia, Reunion, Senegal, Guadeloupe, Indo-China, Indian Sett., Martinique, Mayotte etc, intr lot (95).
Reunion: 1927 Cover sent from Mr. E DuPont (Expedition) in Hellbourg to Finland bearing 1F25c ovpt on 1F blue (x2) and 50c yellow and lilac tied with Hellbourg cds's with Registered 'R' HELLBOURG REUNION H/S in black alongside. Mr DuPont was a famous Conchologist studying the shells and Molluscs on the Aldabra Islands. Very interesting cover.
Reunion: 1949- Attractive mint & fine used collection of CFA surcharges on Yvert printed leaves, many sets including 1954 20f on 75f horse jumping used (Cat £55), mint issues from mid 1960s to 1974, attractive lot (approx 190).
1987 Post Independence 1000f 20th Anniv. of Installation of President Omar Bongo in a pane of 20. Mainly unmounted mint with printer's annotation of production. Intr. SG 987. Cat £180.
1898-1902 Group of ten mint values including set of eight plus shades for 1d & 3d (both shades, cat £148), nice group (10) SG 37/44 Cat £252.
1902-05 ½d to 1/6d 8 values mounted mint with large hinge remains, nice looking set, SG 45/53. Cat £190.
1902-05 EDVII Complete set of twelve values to 3s hinged mint with very fine appearance. SG 45/56 Cat £250.
