1888-93 Mint assembly of seven different values ½d vermilion to 1s dull green all hinged mint, few with gum faults, 1s has few toned perfs but good colour, SG 1/5, 7 & 10 Cat £396.
1840 1d black (QF) with 3½ large margins tied red MX on 1841 cover from Bury to Halesworth, stated to be plate 1b. Fine used.
1841 1d red-brown pl.138, fine used four margin example (IK), tied to wrapper addressed to Ballinasloe by two blue Tullamore '438' numeral cancels with a blue Ballinasloe cds below. Backstamped at Tullamore, Kilbeggan and Ballinasloe. SG Spec B2 (1) xb. Rare item.
1841 1d red-brown plate 10. Very fine used four margin example lettered (QI), on large part entire from Glasgow to Ballymoney beautifully cancelled by centrally struck black MC. Glasgow and Belfast backstamps. SG Spec. AS69.
1843 (27 Nov) Cliffords Inn Entire Letter to Leamington bearing 1d red-brown imperf tied good strike of No.8 in Maltese Cross, folds and ink marks otherwise good strike.
1848 (Feb 3) boxed INVERNESS datestamp on obverse of an re-enforced part entire to Aberdeen. '1' chargemark in red crayon.
1848 Unstamped Entire Letter Glasgow to Langholme with red chargemark and two red PAID or GLASGOW cds's in red on obverse, arrival backstamp in black.
1854 (18 March) Entire Letter Bristol to Macclesfield bearing 1841 1d red-brown (2 margins unevenly cut into) tied BRISTOL 131 spoon cancellation, arrival backstamp, small faults, scarce.
1854 HULL Spoon cancel on Entire to Rotherham bearing poor misperfed 1d red-brown on blued paper tied very neat 383 cancel (2 Oct / E). Fine.
1855 1d red-brown pl.36. Very fine used example lettered (SI), neatly tied to a clean uncreased cover by a Carlisle '165' type II sideways duplex for 9th August 1856. Addressed to Glasgow with black decagonal datestamp on reverse for the following day. Lovely deep colour. SG Spec c8 (1).
