The Duke & Duchess of Windsor - Sotheby's 1997 Auction sale of all their belongings from their house in France including Furniture, Clothes, Jewellery, and everything else. Arranged in three large and heavy catalogues in a boxed slipcase (scuffed), a fascinating insight into their private life.
1935 Silver Jubilee partly complete sets of four (40 different) on Hagners plus 35 others from different countries, all hinged mint with some gum toning, unchecked for varieties, high cat value. (195).
1937 Coronation omnibus mainly complete mint in special springback album, includes Newfoundland long set, useful cat value.
1948 Royal Silver Wedding Unmounted mint collection of sets on stock pages including most of the Malayan States, Singapore, Malta, Pitcairn Is., Northern Rhodesia, Falkland Is., etc. 34 High values U/M. Good cat value in excess of £1000.
1948 Royal Silver Wedding used sets for Pitcairn Is., Falkland Is., and Singapore with perf faults, Bahrain rubbed. SG Cat £210.
FRANCE TRANSPORTER BRIDGES: Circa 1914 group of black and white or coloured postcards each depicting different transporter Bridges and loading wharfs in ports noted Rouen (7) different perspectives, one with horses and carts, Marseille (3), Nantes, intr group. (11).

Great Britain Queen Victoria 1860 Inland Revenue overprinted in red on 1d dull reddish lilac on blue very neatly cancelled by Hoster experimental cancel of London, scarce combination, SG F8. Cat £500 used.
