1881 2 on 12c pale violet OFFICIAL single (SG 155) affixed along with a strip of three type 24 surcharge 2c on 12c pale violet (SG 156 x 3), all on paper tied by fine used strikes of Georgetown squared circles. Attractive combination with very high value. SG 155/6.
1881 2 on 24c emerald-green OFFICIAL left marginal mint block of four showing type 24 surcharge (R8/1) and three other stamps showing type 23 surcharge. Top two stamps showing the two different types setenant heavily mounted mint with rust spots coming through from the gum side additional gum bend. A scarce a positional block showing both varieties setenant, SG 157a & 156 x 2. Very rare.

1951 (14 June) Roger Wells Registered cover to UK (typed addr) bearing University College set of 2 tied by large oval d/r SITTEE RIVER cancel in black with manuscript date written inside. No regd label affixed on departure, but on arrival in Grimsby. Attractive cover.
