1855 (11 Apr) printed ON HER MAJESTY'S SERVICE / ROWLAND HILL, form re missing registered letter to America, sent from London to Newton Abbot with red paid cds and blue Chudleigh arrival, interesting.
1855 1d red-brown pl.40. Very fine used example (CH), neatly tied to a clean cover by Hull '383' type C/R1 spoon duplex for 27th September 1856. Addressed to Bakewell with blue Chesterfield and Bakewell backstamps. SG Spec. C8 (1).
1855 1d red-brown pl.9 (Wmk LC Perf 14). Very fine used example lettered LK neatly tied to uncreased wrapper by a Manchester '498' type II sideways duplex for 18th October. Addressed to Lancaster with arrival backstamp. SG Spec. C3 (1).
1856 (6 Mar) Manchester sideways duplex type II on Entire to Drogheda Ireland bearing 1d star on blued (P.14, LC plate 8), tear in bottom left. Full strike.
1857 2d blue Pl.6 tied to superb wrapper from London to Perth, Scotland bearing 2d blue (OE) showing re-entry, tied by lightly struck London City duplex for 4th August 1858. Backstamped by a Perth arrival cds. Exhibition quality. (SG 35).

1857 P.14 Wmk LC 1d rose-red in vertical blocks of six letter QJ-SK, hinged mint, bottom left stamp is damaged, SG 40. Premium for block of 4.
1859 (1 Dec) Small cover Chester to Liverpool bearing 1d rose-red p.14 tied nice strike of CHESTER 180 spoon cancel, fine appearance.
1862 Isle of Wight - Island registered mail: Very fine registered cover from Ryde Isle of Wight to Aberdeen. Prepaid with 1d rose-red and 6d pale lilac, both neatly tied '666' numerals with RYDE cds below for Feb 14th 1862 alongwith REGISTERED LONDON regd oval alongside (struck twice) and arrival backstamp on reverse.
