Post Offices in Turkey: 1871 Entire Letter Constantinople to Switzerland bearing 5s red and two 10s blue (one cut along the bottom perfs) tied CONSTANTINOPEL CDS's, sent via Trieste. Some white aging marks from pen writing with Trieste oval transit and BRUGG arrival CDS on reverse. 5s red very scarce on cover (US$1000+).
1936 (27 Feb) 1935 Silver Jubilee set of four on registered airmail envelope to New York tied REGISTRATION CDS's with TO NEW YORK ONLY / BY AIR violet handstamp partly crossed out. Pretty cover. SG 301/304.
1942 450th Anniversary of Landing of Columbus £1 deep grey-green and black on chalky paper, fine used corner cds. SG 175.
1855-58 White Paper (1d) deep blue very fine used with enormous margins and neat '1' duplex cancel, premium example, SG 10.
1892 (11 Jul) ½d on 4d deep brown fine used surcharged with type 5 in black showing small A in half variety. SG 104 var, see footnote in SG. Accompanied by 2022 Brandon certificate.
