1936 (1 Sept) Set of three ½d, 1½d & 2½d on plain commercial and philatelic First Day Covers small stock of twenty three examples, one posted undercover to Postmaster at Ramsey IOM, then 28 1d red tied single franking on 14th September FDI. Mixed to fine. (SG 479/484). Huge cat value. (51 covers).
1937 (10 May) three defin values ½d, 1d & 2½d on illus typed First Day Covers small stock of fifteen examples, fine. (SG 462/3, 466).
1940 Exhibition Chalon Portrait, Perkins Bacon stamp centenary exhibition labels. Mint although some gum creases which can be seen from front. Black print has tiny bottom right corner fold. Nice items.
1948 Olympic Games 3d violet mint blk of 4 & 6 both showing Crown flaw variety, SG 496a.
1951 (30 May) Two registered covers both from Dorchester 7 bearing pale colours ½d pair, single & 2½d pale red pair, plus second cover bearing ½d, 1d, 1½d, 2d & 2½d both covers tied MOBILE POST OFFICE 2 / B cds's cancelled at the Dorset Royal Show.
1952 - 1968 Very nice U/M QEII collection presented in a nice binder (with slipcase). Various WMK and printings throughout the period noting: 1952-54 set of 17 SG (515/531), 1963 Red cross set of 3 with and set of 3 without phosphor bands SG (642/644) and SG (642p/644p), nice complete lot for the period.
