Japanese Occupation: 1942-44 Japanese Postal Service vertical overprint type 2 on Straits Sett. set 3, Negri Sembilan set of 4 SG J263/9. (8).
Japanese Occupation: 1943 Type 2 vertical overprint on Straits Sett. 8c grey tied to brown env. by MALACCA 2603 cds cancel with Japanese written addr and violet chop on reverse, seldom seen commercially used. SG J263.
Japanese Occupation of Malaya: 1945 Letterpress 2c pale green (fruit) in a complete rouletted sheet of 100, the so called 'Singapore printings'. Usual tropicalised gum and some margin folds, interesting printed write up accompanies. Scarce as a full sheet. see footnote under SG J306.
Johore: 1884-1960 Collection on leaves mint and used including 1884 Johor ovpts on 2c pale rose m & u, 1896-99 12 vals to $2 mainly mint (Cat £135), 1903 50c on $3 mint, 1910-19 to 50c m & u, 1918-20 to $2 m & u, 1922-41 set to $5 mainly used (Cat £135), 1960 set used, etc. Clean and useful cat value.
