1854-55 1a red Die I used neat 17 diamond barred cancel, thinned on one side with four good margins, nice looker, SG 12.
1854-55 Small mixed range incl ½a blue (3), 1a red with 4 straight line numeral cancel, 4a red and blue x three cut to shape examples. Faults and mixed, but still useful. (7).
1857 Tatty native cover bearing ½a blue (3 margins) neatly tied 14 numeral diamond barred cancel, SOORPORE red backstamp along with incomplete transit cds. Nice postally used cover. SG 2.
1865 multi franked cover Allahabad to London bearing 8p purple on white, 2a yellow, 4a green neatly tied cds cancels and manuscript cancels across the franking, nice INDIA / PAID boxed h/s in red alongside PAID LONDON in red on arrival, various transit b/s. Lovely looking cover.
1866 Colour trial essay 4a brown inscribed West India Postage imperf on thick paper, full gum on reverse with even margins all round. This essay is inscribed WEST INDIA POSTAGE, the issued design (SG 69) is inscribed EAST INDIA POSTAGE otherwise the essay is exactly the same deign. Attractive album piece.
1883 Tatty cover Calcutta to Wales bearing multi franked incl 4a blue-green strip of three, ½a blue strip of three and single each tied large C cancels, with arrival b/s. Poor condition but huge 14a rate.
1890 Reprint of the 1854-55 4a blue and red from the spaced out sheet with SPECIMEN underprint Frame Die II without rosettes or wavy lines in the margins. These were printed in sheets of 12, heavily toned, otherwise fine.
1937 25r slate-violet and purple fine used, SG 264.
1948 1st Anniv. of Independence Ghandi 10r purple-brown and lake fine used, SG 308.
1983 50p brown Ghandi defin in a complete unmounted mint sheet of 100, pen mark and pencil mark in margin otherwise very fine and fresh, SG 1073 Cat £450.
