1839 Handwritten and signed envelope panel: Her Royal Highness the Princess Augusta, Clarence House, and additional hand manuscript The Queen with Her Majesty Queen Victoria 1839 alongside. Original red wax sealed affixed to front from the back. Queen Victoria was 2 years into her reign and aged 20 when this was written. Princess Augusta was the second daughter of King George III. She died at Clarence House a year after Victoria wrote to her. She was 71. Written just moths before introduction of the Penny Black.

Imprint on lower flap WEBB, L'PPOL' for Waring Webb of Liverpool (SG MA490b). Scarce early use. Ex. Mayflower.
