1963-64 USS Thresher Search dive cacheted covers for first and second dive one signed by the commanding officer, plus 1967 Memorium ovptd cover. On 10th April 1963 Submarine Thresher sank in deep diving tests 220 miles off the coast of Massachusetts killing all 129 crew and shipyard personnel on board. It is believed that flooding in the engine room sank the submarine. (4 diff).

1970-73 Chay Blyth's Solo non stop around the world East to West special illustrated cover carried on British Steel Yacht and signed, arrival mark of 6th Aug 1971, then further carried on 1973 round the world race with 3p tied special 8th Sept cancel for the Whitbread race. Only a few dozen known to have been carried on the dual trip.

Censor cover from BRITISH NATIONAL SERVICE COMMITTEE / CASILLA 1908 / VALPARAISO rare oval cachet on reverse, sent Per Santa Elena via New York to River Plate London Committee, River Plate House, London sealed with OPENED BY EXAMINER 1607 / P.C. 90 label. This was used as an undercover address for South American volunteers serving with British Forces in WW2. Scarce with local cachet on reverse.
