1954-57 Three 4d brown QEII Registered postal stationery envelopes one uprated with GVI 1/3d tied MOYAMBA cds and regd etiq., 1957 BLAMA uprated with QEII defins 2d pair and 6d pair and 6d brown airmail from KAILAHUN all to UK, some faults. (3).
1955 (8 Feb) Regd airmail cover (faults) sent from a Corporal at the Police Training School based in Freetown from PTS Hastings addr to a Shoe manufacturer in UK. Bears 3d & 6d pair tied HASTINGS cds cancels, Sent by a corporal Bendugu, No.1223, PTS Hastings, Freetown S. Leone. This was sent the day before the general strike was announced over wage increases, where over the next few days local police and British Troops shot and killed 20 people and dozens of others injured to quell the civil unrest.
Group of covers for GVI/QEII including 1940 GVI 3d brown regd P/S env uprated 3d to UK from PORT LOKKO, MAGBURAKA, LUNSAR, 1958 Cambridge Exped h/s, MAKENI, group of 1959 airletters from same correspondence etc. Very mixed but intr and useful lot. (19).

1946 (17 Apr) Registered cover LUNGA to UK bearing GVI 2/6, 5s & 10s with the 10s only tied by LUNGA cds cancel, other two remain uncancelled, regd violet h/s No. 385.
1955 Registered cover to Grimsby bearing GVI ½d & 3d pair tied HONIARA cds cancels and regd h/s in red No. 946. Fine.
Group of covers GVI/QEII including 1940 Illustrated cover for Schooner Yankee 3rd World Cruise signed by Captain Irving Johnson PASSED BY CENSOR 4. with censor sealing label (gum stains), 1941 h/s illustrated cover to Guadalcanal tied LUNGA cds's, 1957 single line BARAKOMA AIRFIELD, then six OHMS covers from same correspondence from YANDINA to Honiara. Very mixed but intr and useful lot. (24).
1943-44 Censored WW2 Covers (4) incl to London (multi franked), Redirected from Ceylon, 1944 Internee Post o Germany PASSED BY CENSOR from 497/40 Baviaanspoort Internment Camp, Pretoria, 1943 On Service Department of Defence OFFICIAL FREE & boxed PASSED BY CENSOR 70 & Arms h/s in violet tying censor label. Nice group (4), mixed.
Local British Occupation issues 1900-02: Wolmaranstaad; 1900 (June) Cancelled / V-R-I in violet on 1d rose-red and green affixed to unused Leask envelope as provisional pre-stamped stationery.
