1856 6d lilac with sock on the nose 87 numeral cancel, excellent centring and colour, fine, SG 68. Cat £120.
1856 Wmk large Garter 4d rose-carmine & 4d rose both fine used 763 or 183 diamond numeral cancel well centred and very sound, SG 66/66a Cat £300.
1856-59 Bristol sideways duplex types on four different covers, each with 1d red star tied good strikes of different types incl type 2, 5a (2), 8. With 1856 manuscript , now dead, buried no service. (4).
1856-64 Written up album page with four 6d lilac and one cover incl 1856 6d lilac (Cat £120), wing margin example (Azure paper?), 1862 Cover to Madras London N18 cancel, 1862 6d lilac f.u. 383 cancel (Cat £160), 1864 6d lilac f.u. diamond 156 cancel (SG Cat £250). Fine.
1857 1d orange-brown pl.144. Very fine used example lettered HK, neatly tied to a clean entire by a superb ARGYLE / STREET type XVIII Scots local cancellation. Addressed to Kilmarnock with Glasgow and Kilmarnock cds's on reverse for JU 3-4 1857, SG Spec. C8 (5).
1857 1d orange-brown pl.36. Very fine used example lettered (AI), neatly tied to a clean uncreased cover by Glasgow '159' duplex for 12th June 1857. Addressed to Melrose with blue-green Melrose receiver (incomplete) on the reverse. Lovely deep colour SG C8 (5).
1857 1d red-brown pl.31 (JC). Very fine wrapper sent from Drymen to Edinburgh neatly tied by black DRYMEN Scots local cancellation (Type III). Backstamped by a green Glasgow transit cds and Edinburgh arrival cds. Alock scarcity rating C.
1857 1d rose-red pl.46 very fine used example (KH), neatly tied to a clean envelope by a very fine strike of the difficult Warrington '847' type III sideways duplex for July 2nd 1860 addressed to Bank of England, Leeds, with receiving backstamp. Very scarce, SG Spec C10 (5).
1857 2d blue Pl.6 tied to superb wrapper from London to Perth, Scotland bearing 2d blue (OE) showing re-entry, tied by lightly struck London City duplex for 4th August 1858. Backstamped by a Perth arrival cds. Exhibition quality. (SG 35).

1857 4d rose fine used right wing margin with neat 131 cancel of Edinburgh. Well centred and good colour. SG 66a.
