1859 1s Deep dark green a superb very fine used example, with three close to enormous margins, light triangle CGH barred postmark, small crease otherwise very fine, SG 8b Cat £550.

LOT489 CAPE OF GOOD HOPE

1861 Woodblock 4d grey-blue fine used 2 to nearly three margins just touching SE corner with neat barred cancel across the stamp, crease which does detract otherwise sound, SG 14a Cat £2500.

1864 6d bright mauve two fine used examples both three close to good margins, one with crisp triangle postmark, second lighter shade bigger margins but slightly smudged cancel, thin, SG 20 Cat £550 each. SG 20.
